Hair Support Mode

For the scalp, too.

NouvaDerm's Hair Support Mode is designed for scalp revitalization and follicle support — encouraging healthy circulation to support hair vitality. No anesthesia required, and often paired with regenerative scalp serums or a hair-restoration program.

What to expect

Quick sessions, a predictable arc.

Session length

20–40 minutes for most areas (30–60 for larger areas).

Sessions

Most patients do 1–4 treatments.

Spacing

Typically 4–6 weeks apart — closer for active acne or texture, longer if you're 60+.

Healing arc

Warmth and redness day 1–2, light micro-crusting and peeling days 3–7, brighter skin after. Depth sets how much.

Before your treatment

Prep for the best result.

  • Avoid sun, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 1–2 weeks.
  • Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids, and strong peels 5–7 days before.
  • Tell your provider about recent injectables, procedures, antibiotics, skin conditions, or medication changes.
  • Avoid photosensitizing medications unless cleared by your provider.
  • Skip alcohol and intense workouts for 48 hours before.
  • Stay well hydrated.
  • Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, heavy creams, or sunscreen.
  • Numbing is applied as needed; arrive ~30 minutes early if numbing is planned.
Pending — confirm products

Only list prep products Angelic actually stocks. Source docs cite brand-specific items (e.g. pigment inhibitors) — confirm before naming any.

Aftercare

Heal calm, protect the result.

  • Don't wash your face the night of treatment; let serums absorb.
  • Days 1–7: gentle cleanser with lukewarm water, a gentle hydrator, and physical SPF 30+ every morning. No retinoids, acids, or exfoliants while healing.
  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, tanning, and heavy sweating for 24–72 hours.
  • Don't pick or scratch flaking skin.
  • Wear a hat outdoors; use clean pillowcases and towels.
  • Tylenol is fine if needed.
  • Wait at least 24 hours for makeup, or until peeling is complete.
  • Your provider gives you a personalized aftercare sheet for your treatment level.

Deeper treatments come with a personalized, provider-issued aftercare sheet specific to your level.

Questions

The honest answers.

Does it hurt?

+

A numbing cream is applied for comfort; most patients tolerate it well.

How much downtime?

+

Anywhere from none (Glow) to about two weeks (deepest level), depending on how deep we go — chosen with you at consult.

How many sessions will I need?

+

Most patients see results in 1–4 sessions, usually 4–6 weeks apart.

Is it safe for my skin tone?

+

Yes. NouvaDerm is customized for a wide range of skin tones and types; your provider selects the safest, most effective settings for you.

Can I get it if I've had Botox?

+

Yes — NouvaDerm is safe 2 weeks after Botox. Tell your provider about any recent injectables, fillers, or lasers.

How is this different from a CO2 laser?

+

NouvaDerm is a gentler approach with faster healing (often just 1–3 days of mild redness) and lower risk of complications, making it suitable for more skin types. CO2 is more aggressive with longer recovery. NouvaDerm is excellent for mild-to-moderate concerns.

How long is an appointment?

+

About 20–40 minutes for most areas.

Results vary. NouvaDerm treatments are performed under medical supervision following a consultation to determine suitability.
